True Utility was created by Lee Berman, an avid traveler. Lee Berman made many of his trips in his antique passenger bus. A 45-seater converted into a complete shelter on wheels with seats that unfolded into beds and filled to the brim with everything you could possibly need while traveling or camping. It was its own huge one multitool on wheels.
At some point the bus no longer followed his philosophy and minimalism became his new starting point. The bus was eventually pulled over and he opted for light travel. He soon found out that his equipment was still too heavy and extensive and chose equipment consisting of the most essential things. Minimalism became a way of life and gave Lee an extremely liberating and pleasant feeling. His passion for minimalism and small, versatile things inspired him to develop the True Utility Products.
